Eng - The project “KaffeiN” is the first project I created where I developed an entire background and concept for a fictional brand, feeling the need to truly dive into this “story” and to put a bit of my own creativity into it.

This project has a personal meaning, everything I love is in it, from the aesthetics and color palette to the fact that I’m passionate about coffee. I decided to put many things into practice during the creative process, from developing the story and concept behind this fictional brand (KaffeiN) to translating that same essence into the Motion Design piece itself.
I started this project a few weeks before my first in-person Motion Design and Art event (Keep In Motion, created by Layer Lemonade). When I came back, I was incredibly excited and 100% inspired to create. However, after a few weeks of intense work and some health issues, I realized I no longer had the energy to create or be creative. So, I decided to take a couple of days off — and suddenly, all that sea of ideas and creativity came rushing back. That’s when “Creativity is Energy” was born; and what better than coffee to represent the energy we all need? I shifted the project’s direction a bit, focusing on creating a coffee brand aimed at young artists in a dystopian future.
The anime aesthetic comes not only from what I absorbed from the Layer Lemonade community, but also from a stage in my life where I’m finally allowing myself to stop and enjoy anime, to satisfy that curiosity and fascination without letting the anxiety of “needing to be productive” take over (and yes, that took a lot of therapy).

It was also my first project using AI. After defining the aesthetics, colors, and concept, I started creating and refining prompts so that the AI could generate exactly what I had in mind;  as a form of art direction, rather than just throwing in anything and expecting the AI to work miracles. Over 80 images were generated, which were then edited and reconstructed in Photoshop, allowing me to have full creative freedom over the animation.
Anyway, this description turned out quite long, after all, the creative process is everything we experience and the moment we’re in. Thank you to everyone who read this!
